Jupiter from Kembangan follows 21-year-old June Chang, a Singaporean university student who has lofty– if not non-existent– plans for her future. She shares a cosy little life with her roommate May, who has her struggles with growing up and ideas about taking on adulthood.

Prompted by May, June takes part in a space photography competition and unexpectedly attains the grand cash prize of £100,000. This sends their friendship into orbit, changing their dynamic forever. JFK reminds us of that leap we take in our twenties, as we part ways with some things, for better or for worse.
